We so wanted to visit the dinosaur adventure last year but the tickets were sold off by the time we came to know about it. Hence this year we purchased the ticket as soon as it went on sale.
I have to say, it is totally worth the price, my kids had so much fun. We purchased the drive through adventure for single car. We entered the Alameda county fairgrounds through gate 12 and followed signs on dinosaur adventure. Ours was a Saturday morning 11-1PM slot and we were routed to a lane along with rest of the car waiting for entry. Alternate lanes were empty, I guess to follow the social distancing protocol due to covid19. We patiently waited munching on warm churros sold on the spot by few vendors.
When our turn came we were routed to the drive through 'without merchandise line' and started our 5miles/hr journey. Kids were very excited to see real life like moving and roaring dinosaurs. There were descriptions ahead of each dinosaur display and there was good spacing between each display. We had ample time at every station to look at the dinosaur, babies, settings, etc. There was one with a volcano setting which my son loved.
Kid dinos and eggs were kept together for little ones to enjoy. Spinosaurus, Brachiosaurus and Carnotaurus were breathtaking. Few displays were a bit scary for my little ones when it roared. Once we were done they wanted to go back again for another round.
